About LUA Dalmatians

Less than 0.1% of Dalmatians are born LUA (low uric acid), meaning they inherited at least one copy of the "normal" gene and therefore they are not affected by hyperuricosuria, they do not require a special diet and they are not at a greater risk for forming kidney/bladder stones and blockages.

What We Do

All our parent dogs are AKC Registered and health tested to the standards set forth by The Dalmatian Club of America and registered with The Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, including at least the 3 of the 4 tests required for healthy and ethical breeding and continuation of the LUA line.  All information here on our website is current, valid, and updated regularly and not information or bragging about awards we won decades ago.

Who We Are

We are a small family farm that has lots of animals to enjoy but especially love our Dalmatians and horses.  Dalmatians were bred to be carriage dogs and to run along beside protecting the horses from predators. They became known as firehouse dogs when the old fire engines were pulled by horses. This is one of the things that make them a very loyal pet, and explains their energy and need for room to run...and run and run and run!  We have 20 acres here at our little farm, and our dogs are very spoiled!- but a fenced back yard will do just fine with regular exercise and playtime.

Our dogs home lives

Did we already mention they are spoiled?  Our dogs and our pups are raised inside the house with us!  Pups also have a beautiful fenced 20 x 40 yard right outside the slider door of our office with a large covered area for outdoor exercise and playtime. Our farm is 20 acres of beautiful park-like settings including a forest and set along the banks of Rickreall Creek.  All of our pets are part of the family and treated as such including every pup right up to the moment they go to an approved loving home.  Pups are socialized by all family members of all ages and are extremely loving and wiggly and everything you would and should expect a puppy to be.

You will NEVER find cages, or wired or tarped "kennels" at Eola Farms!

While any reputable breeder will want to check you out to make sure you are an appropriate home for their babies, you should also be checking out your breeder to make sure you know where your new puppy is coming from,
how they are kept, and that the parents have been properly health tested.
The best way to check out a your potential breeder
is to visit their home/kennels and see for yourself!

NEVER EVER AGREE TO CO-OWN A DOG WITH A BREEDER!!!
Never Co-Own a dog with anyone!

Why would you pay someone for a pup only to have them
still own your dog?!

ALWAYS insist on visiting your breeder and seeing
how your potential new family member is being raised!
Always make sure the person advertising the litter
is the same person raising the litter!
